Key Responsibilities
- Provide services within your hairdressing, barbering or beauty specialty and consult clients on needs and suitable options.
- Cut and style men's and women's hair, including blow-dries and hair-ups, and provide roots, global colour, foils, highlights and lowlights.
- Create balayage and ombré, tone and correct colour and offer keratin, nanoplasty, Hair Botox, smoothing, straightening, perming and other chemical services where qualified.
- Provide relevant men's grooming and barbering and qualified beauty work including threading, waxing, facials, eyebrows and eyelashes, extensions and tinting.
- Recommend professional products and home care, maintain hygiene, cleanliness and workplace safety and create welcoming professional visits and long-term client relationships.
- Present professionally, collaborate in busy salons and maintain current technical and professional skills.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience is preferred, with relevant qualification and/or demonstrable salon experience.
- Proven technical skill for the position and practical modern hairdressing, barbering and/or beauty work that is genuine and demonstrable.
- Strong consultation, communication and customer service and dependable professional presentation.
- Independent and effective in a team, strongly committed to quality, hygiene and professional standards and a long-term hair and beauty career.
- Able to evidence relevant qualifications and employment when required.
- Current New Zealand work rights or eligibility for an appropriate visa; relevantly qualified and experienced overseas applicants are welcome.
