A Whanganui salon wants an experienced Hair Stylist with skills, a client following and a work record that are easy to demonstrate. You will cut, style and colour for new and repeat clients and gradually grow a loyal book of your own.
You will also be part of a team that shares what it knows, attends training together and keeps the salon welcoming and hygienic. The role is full-time and based in New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities
- Cut and style clients' hair
- Colour hair to each client's brief
- Listen to what clients need and suggest suitable services
- Produce dependable, high-standard results across the menu and stand behind every finished look
- Nurture relationships with first-time and regular clients, growing your own loyal book
- Keep your day organised and productive with a well-managed client schedule, and make every visit welcoming and professional
- Maintain a hygienic salon that looks smart and meets the expected standard
- Pass knowledge to fellow stylists and salon staff, contributing to a supportive team
- Join professional training and hair education sessions
- Stay up to date with techniques, products and industry trends
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 3 years of hands-on cutting and colouring in a professional setting
- NZ Level 4 Hairdressing Certificate, or an internationally recognised equivalent qualification
- Experienced candidates may be considered where their formal qualifications are different
- Practical hairdressing ability proven by genuine work experience, with confidence delivering professional cutting and colouring
- Strong consultation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to earn client trust and build lasting relationships
- A professional attitude to customer service and your workplace responsibilities, and a team player
- Willing to keep developing technically and professionally, and able to show proof of your qualifications and previous employment
- Applicants must meet the relevant requirements for sponsored employment in New Zealand
