Key Responsibilities
- Service, inspect and repair trucks and heavy vehicles, diagnosing engine and mechanical problems systematically with appropriate tools.
- Overhaul diesel engines and maintain heavy vehicle components, repair braking and suspension systems and care for trailers.
- Identify worn, faulty or damaged parts and recommend repairs, completing work to professional standards.
- Keep job cards and service records accurate and reduce breakdowns and downtime through preventative maintenance.
- Follow manufacturer requirements and workshop safety and collaborate with fellow mechanics.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Relevant Diesel, Heavy Vehicle or Truck Mechanics trade qualification and Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Proven practical truck and diesel vehicle work covering engines, trailers, suspension and brakes.
- Sharp diagnostics and fault-finding and practical heavy vehicle system knowledge, able to identify and repair faults accurately.
- Able to evidence qualifications and employment and provide safe, efficient, quality-conscious workshop workmanship.
- Australian mechanical experience is highly regarded; onshore applicants with valid work rights are welcome.
