An independent Auckland workshop that is growing wants experienced Automotive Technicians and Mechanics for permanent, full-time roles, Monday to Saturday. There are 2 positions. The first is a WoF Inspector / Experienced Mechanic, who covers general workshop work and carries out WoF inspections in accordance with NZTA requirements; current WoF Inspector authority is required. The second is an Experienced Automotive Mechanic, focused on general servicing, diagnostics, mechanical repairs and WoF-related repairs.

Key Responsibilities
- Service and maintain vehicles for customers.
- Find faults using diagnostic equipment and workshop tools.
- Repair brakes, suspension and steering, and do wheel alignment with the related suspension checks.
- Inspect, fit and rotate tyres.
- Repair engines and cooling systems.
- Take on electrical and general mechanical repairs.
- Carry out pre-WoF inspections and WoF-related repairs.
- Fill in job cards and repair documentation.
- Hold workmanship and workshop safety to a high standard.
- Be professional with customers.
- Position 1: carry out WoF inspections in accordance with NZTA requirements.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Solid automotive mechanical experience.
- Capable of working independently.
- Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, honest and professional, with good communication.
- Good attention to detail and workmanship.
- Full NZ driver's licence.
- NZ automotive qualification preferred.
- Position 1: Current WoF Inspector authority is required.
