Experienced commercial meat workers are needed for client sites around Australia, listed in Sydney. The three work streams cover boners, slicers and trimmers, and slaughtermen. Applicants should identify the species they know, including beef, veal, lamb/sheep, pork, goat or other red meat, and the tasks they can perform independently.
Employer sponsorship may be available for suitable candidates under applicable Skilled Meat Worker arrangements, including subclass 482 pathways where relevant, subject to employer requirements, skills assessment and individual visa eligibility.

Key Responsibilities
- Boners independently separate carcasses and quarters into commercial beef/veal, lamb/sheep and pork cuts, taking bones out accurately while protecting yield and quality.
- Slicers and trimmers remove excess fat, gristle and other unwanted material, preparing products to production and customer specifications with consistent quality and minimal waste.
- Slaughtermen carry out species-specific floor work, including authorised stunning and shackling, sticking and bleeding, removing hides or skin, dressing carcasses and eviscerating them. Use safe food handling practices throughout processing.
Requirements & Eligibility
- A background as a commercial meat worker with practical skills specific to the role.
- For boners, strong knife skills and accurate bone removal and trimming ability; able to identify species experience, cuts and duties.
- Verifiable employment history and references where available.
- Q Fever vaccination or immunity evidence where required for the role, and qualifications and skills assessments if available.
